How to Use Saved Collection Operation Setups
Learn how to save your Collection Creator configuration, reload it later, and manage multiple saved operation setups.
A Saved Collection Operation Setup captures your entire Collection Creator configuration at a point in time, so you can restore it instantly without reconfiguring from scratch. It saves:
- Your selected store connection
- The number of collections and their names
- The artwork file URL for each collection
- All selected product templates per collection
- Per-template settings: title mode, descriptions, tags, and publish status
This is especially useful if you run the same type of collection job repeatedly (e.g., weekly new artwork drops on the same set of templates).
Before you can save a setup, you need to configure your Collection Creator job as you normally would.
Make sure you have configured:
- A connected Printify or Gelato store selected
- At least one collection with a name
- Artwork uploaded for each collection
- At least one product template added per collection
- Product title, description, tags, and publish settings for each template
đĄ Not sure how to set up a collection? See our guide: How to Upload a Collection.
Once your job is configured, save it using the Saved Collection Operation Setups panel at the top of the Collection Creator page.
To save your setup:
- Click the "Saved Collection Operation Setups" button to expand the panel
- Click "Save Current Setup"
- A dialog will appear showing a summary of what will be saved (number of collections and templates)
- Enter a descriptive name for this setup (e.g., "Holiday T-Shirts & Hoodies")
- Click "Save Setup" to confirm
â Tip: Use a name that describes the template set, not the artwork â since the same setup can be loaded and used with fresh artwork each time.
When you return to the Collection Creator for your next job, you can instantly restore any previously saved setup.
To load a saved setup:
- Open the "Saved Collection Operation Setups" panel at the top of the page
- You'll see a list of your saved setups with their name, date saved, and a summary of collections/templates
- Click "Load" next to the setup you want to restore
- A confirmation dialog will appear warning that your current configuration will be replaced
- Click "Load Setup" to confirm
â ī¸ Important: Loading a saved setup will overwrite your current unsaved configuration. If you want to keep your current work, save it first before loading another setup.
âšī¸ Artwork note: The saved artwork URL is restored, but you may need to re-upload your artwork file if you're using new designs for the same template set.
You can keep multiple saved setups â one for each type of collection job you run regularly.
What you can do in the panel:
- Load â Restore a saved setup as your active configuration
- Delete â Remove a saved setup you no longer need
- Save Current â Save your current configuration as a new setup (or overwrite an existing one by using the same name)
â Best practice: Create separate saved setups for different product categories, such as "Apparel Templates", "Home Decor Templates", or "Accessories Templates". This way you can quickly switch between setups for different types of artwork drops.
Here's how a seller using Bulk Creator Pro might use saved setups for a weekly artwork release:
- Week 1: Configure collection job from scratch â select templates â set titles/descriptions â save setup as "Weekly Apparel Drop"
- Week 2: Open Collection Creator â load "Weekly Apparel Drop" â upload new artwork â click Create Collection
- Week 3+: Repeat step 2 â the entire template/metadata configuration is already set up
This workflow can save 10â15 minutes per job once your setups are defined.
â "Save Current Setup" button doesn't appear
Make sure you are logged in. Saved setups are tied to your account and require authentication.
â Setup loaded but templates are missing
Template availability depends on your connected store. If a template was removed from your store since the setup was saved, it may not load. Re-add the template from the Browse Templates carousel.
â Artwork shows as missing after loading
The saved artwork URL may have expired. Simply upload your new artwork file for each collection tab after loading the setup.
